TERMS OF SERVICE FOR TUTORING

This website is managed and operated by Spacetime Study LLC (STS). Within the site, the terms "we," "us," and "our" pertain to Spacetime Study LLC. Spacetime Study LLC provides this website, along with all the information, tools, and services offered on this site, to you, the user, under the condition that you accept all the terms, conditions, policies, and notices stated here.

Before using our website, carefully review these Terms of Service. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to abide by these terms. If you disagree with any aspect of this agreement, refrain from accessing the website or using any services. Your acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms of Service if they are considered an offer. Any new features or tools added to the current store are also subject to these Terms of Service. The latest version is available on this page, and we reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these terms by posting updates on our website. It is your responsibility to check for changes periodically. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Weekly tutoring, lesson rescheduling, and cancellations

We prioritize students committed to weekly tutoring, as we excel in providing maximum value through regular lessons. While occasional rescheduling and cancellations are acceptable, consistent lack of commitment may lead to termination, allowing us to serve students on our waiting list. Multiple contact attempts will be made before termination. To reschedule or cancel, contact your tutor at least 24 hours before the session. Rescheduling within 24 hours may incur the full tutoring session cost.

Contracts and Termination of Tutoring

No contracts are involved; you can discontinue tutoring at any time. To cancel upcoming lessons, email us at chelsea.su@spacetimestudy.com. Unpaid lessons will be charged. No further steps are necessary.

Notify STS within 21 days of your last lesson or, if you haven't attended a lesson yet, within 21 days of signing up. Failure to do so incurs a cancellation fee (equal to 1-hour fee without package deals). Unpaid lessons will be billed at the end of the current fortnightly cycle.

PREPAID PACKAGE STUDENTS

Unused balance refunds deduct the cost of 1-hour session. For instance, if you bought a $600 10-hour package, used 6 hours, and want to terminate:

Charge $600: (6 hours x $65 hourly price)

Charge $65: Termination penalty (1-hour for admin costs)

Refund $145: $600- (6 x $65) - $65 = $145

Refunds occur at the fortnightly billing cycle end, with processing taking 5-10 business days. Insufficient credit for sessions yields no refund.

Billing

STS streamlines the billing process, making it convenient for parents and students. You will automatically receive an invoice through your TutorBird account, processed securely via PayPal. All lesson records and payment receipts can be accessed through your TutorBird account.

Receive a $50 discount when you pay for a 10-hour package in advance. This is an excellent choice for students seeking a long-term commitment with their tutor.

With Prepaid Packages, you'll receive an invoice when a package is issued. These packages renew automatically when your remaining credit falls below 2 hours and you will receive an updated invoice.

Payments are to be made within 7 days of receiving the invoice. Failure to meet this deadline will incur a 3% charge on the total payment due every 7 days thereafter.
